Curlew Sandpiper (?) Dale Airfield

Whilst out for a run this morning I came across a flock of around 15 small waders at the 'western crossroads' (next to the Dotterel field) on Dale Airfield. In flight, one of the birds had a white rump...my impression was that it was a Curlew Sandpiper but I couldn't be 100% sure with naked eye views! I went back up there afterwards with optics, a mixed flock of waders including a single Golden Plover flew off towards the Gann and a further 6 Ringed Plover were in the usual field, but no sign of the mystery wader.

Afterwards at the Gann the only small wader was this smart juvenile Sanderling, presumably the one that has been around for a while.  Also 2 Bar-tailed Godwits and a 2CY Mediterranean Gull.
