Late afternoon walk from the mere down to Martins Haven and back. Met Elwyn who'd had the Ringtail before I arrived, but no sign while I was there. Best I could manage was a female Merlin and male Kestrel both hunting around the mere and c100 Lapwing. About 20 Chaffinch in the field beyond the Britton hide and a couple of Goldcrest. Dozen Snipe in the rough pasture near Martins Haven. c1,000 starling in 3 flocks heading eastwards as light faded.
