Four
wheatear were checking out the cow pats in the closely-grazed field between Starman's Hall and Freshwater West this morning. Six
chough were feeding in the middle of the field,
golden plover further away. A female
marsh harrier, not an individual we've seen before, was hunting inland from the hide. 2
Cetti's warblers were singing - one at one o'clock from the hide as usual, one further along the main track towards the pines.
Otherwise quiet - 7 mallard, 5 curlew, 3 grey heron, the odd snipe...
