Hook/Sprinkle Pill

From David Ord - The Pill is now very quiet. A couple of dozen remnant Teal, 2 pairs of Mallard the odd Redshank and a couple of Little Egret are all that remain in the Pill itself. About 20 Shelduck remain on the mudflats and there were 3 Great Crested Grebe on the Cleddau today. Migrant - wise, there has been 2 waves over the past couple of weeks. Firstly chiffchaffs (1st singing on 20th March), followed a week later by the Blackcaps (first on 31st) - the bushes are now full of both. No hirundines until today when 2 swallows flew over. The photo is of none of these but of a treecreeper found in the wood last week. I’d never before considered them to be fierce predators but look at that stare!
