Martin’s Haven & Hasguard Cross

A remarkable flock of 15 Chough over Renny’s Slip and flying inland over the Trehill fields late-morning. We have never seen such a large flock at this time of year, but only in the autumn. These are presumably last year’s young, and indicative of good over-wintering success?

The Whimbrel was still in the North-West field of West Hook Farm at 1600, visible from the Deer Park.

A male Yellowhammer flew up from the roadside at Hasguard cross at 1700.
