Another hour (or so) in the rough pasture, hedgerows and copses leading up to the Ridgeway. As yesterday, with the addition of my first whitethroats (2), lots of linnets (which I forgot to mention yesterday), a pair of stonechats, skylarks, a pair of bullfinches and - in a recently ploughed and rolled field - three big, bold and bright wheatears, two males and a female. A single swallow flew over, but by later this afternoon they were checking out the outbuildings next door.
