I managed an hour after work between 7 & 8pm, and a cracking variety with a lot of turnover since yesterday (and even since Derek's earlier visit). 10 Dunlin included another colour-ringed bird from the Mid Wales project (EU3). Other wader highlights: a total of 26 Redshank that included 18 on the beach and mostly juveniles (so presumably passing through), an adult Black-tailed Godwit that dropped in so presumably different to Derek's, 3 Sanderling, 9 Knot (all juveniles so presumably different to yesterday's 3), 9 Turnstone, & 2 Ringed Plover. Just one Mediterranean Gull (an adult), and 7 Sandwich Terns (2 juveniles, and 5 adults, 1 of which was metal ringed). Feels like a rare wader is just around the corner.....
