Highlight, in local patch terms, were the 2 Shoveler that graced the pools briefly today, viewable from the back door and our 120th species for Crabhall!
Waders stole the show on an early evening walk, with a single Ruff, 3 Knot including a moulting adult still showing some red, 14 Dunlin, a Whimbrel, 107 Curlew (8 of them colour ringed), 3 Turnstone and a total of 14 Sanderling, which all seemed to be juveniles and 4 of them were extremely tame...
Also a 2CY Mediterranean Gull and one of the Great Black-backed Gulls was from Skokholm - W:287.
