Nothing like as eventful as Dave and Lisa's day but nice afternoon to be out. Circuit from Kete to St Ann's, 12 Wheatear, min 8 in an old potato field by Mill Bay, a nice flock of c100 Linnet here as well, which had a few juvenile Goldfinch and 4 juvenile Greenfinch among them earlier in the week but no sign today. Flock of 24 Chough keeping separate from the corvid flock in an adjacent field. Kestrel by the lighthouse. Just a handful of Pied wagtail with the cows with more Meadow pipits than recently.
Had a look for the Curlew sandpiper without success. 52 Oystercatcher, 18 Ringed plover, 15 Redshank, 8 Dunlin, 7 Turnstone, 5 Knot, 3 Greenshank, 2 Ruff and 3 Wheatear. Single adult Med gull. A juvenile Peregrine made a grab for a Dunlin but missed.
