Good numbers of small waders on Poppit this evening, of note the 195 Ringed Plover with 2 Turnstone, 17 Sanderling and 145 Dunlin. Nice to see this time of year 70 House Martins feeding over the car park area and 1 Chiffchaff calling away in scrub along the dune edge. The vegetated protected edge of the Webley saltmarsh was washed over by the morning's high tide - likely to be gone after the next couple of high tides, as Patch spit is also being flattened and reshaped too. 8 Sandwich Terns came to roost tonight, and this fine Grey Seal came for a look too...
