From Ian Smith - Martin's Haven 07:45-08:00
Hoped for shelter from winds absent. Just a few Linnets, Rock Pipits and Goldfinch. Male Peregrine flew low across the road on the run in from Marloes, plus female Pheasant with just ONE young, played game of chicken along the road.
The Gann 08:15-09:25 High Tide 07:24

Sandwich Tern. 8 over NE
Teal 6 flew up into rivermouth.
Dunlin...still 11 with 2 Ringed Plover and single Turnstone feeding amongst shoreline buffet and target of failed attack by Fem Sparrowhawk some 6 metres in front of me. No Curlew Sand or muddy shoreline seen in Lagoon after latest high tides.
Parrog Boat Club, Newport 10:35-12:25
High tide circa 08:20
Minimum small wader numbers were: 3 juv Curlew Sandpipers, 13 Sanderling, 17 Dunlin, and 22 Ringed Plover with again a Fem Sparrowhawk heading their way as I was leaving and the heavy rain arriving. Quick estimate of 260 Canada Geese by Pen-y-Bont with BH and Herring Gulls seemingly without any Mediterranean compatriots.
Strumble Head 13:30-15:00
Whilst heavy rain lashed from SW, a trickle of species moving East included Gannet, Fulmar, Manx, Razorbill, Kittiwake and Sandwich Tern. When rain eased off to light drizzle, the movement all but ceased and the Gannets began circling the feeding Porpoises. Also some 20 wet holidaymakers; all interested in the Porpoises and shelter afforded by the valued National Park lookout facility.
