Castlemartin Corse

A very quiet Castlemartin Corse this morning was enlivened briefly as a fem/imm Marsh Harrier flew over the Reed bed. It was some way off but I could make out a red tag on the left wing - does anyone have knowledge of tagged Harriers? Otherwise there were c.180 Lapwing, 24 Curlew, 15 Skylarks, 20 Meadow Pipits and 3 Stonechats. Bird numbers on the Corse are but a shadow of a few years ago.

N.B. For anyone thinking of visiting the Corse, at the kissing gate at Starmans Hall there is an electric fence across the footpath behind which there are a large number of frisky cattle - best avoided.
