Gupton Farm and Castlemartin Corse

I visited the Corse hoping to find it wetter (it wasn't) - the only water birds were a grey heron and some calling water rail. No waders. Two Cetti's sang. A solitary chough was calling from a fence post - seemed like a lost youngster, no others around. A kestrel was harried by a crow right across the Corse from Gupton until it disappeared over the skyline on the Kilpaison side. But, three lovely wheatears on the track down to Starman's Hall made it all worthwhile.
