A hen harrier was quartering the reedbed near Starman's Hall when I dropped down the track from Gupton at 10.00. It worked its way gradually inland. A little later I watched the wing-tagged marsh harrier from the hide - he was mainly hunting along the watercourse on the N side of the reedbed, and briefly over the scrub on Kilpaison Burrows where he put up a sparrowhawk.
A Cetti's was singing very close to the hide, but I couldn't see it.
