Dale & the Gann

An Otter was the highlight this morning, found by Lisa as she walked the dog.  I was able to add it to the 'wildlife seen from the bedroom window' list!  Just the third time I have seen Otter at the Gann.  Lisa also had 2 Chough on the grassy spit by the lagoon (this before a succession of ball throwing dog owners arrived).

I managed to get a vantage point to view the 'Sandpit' fields between us and Mullock Bridge at lunchtime.  Two fields of crops are gradually being eaten by cattle.  In the munched bits, at least 493 Lapwing, and around 25 Curlew included 2 recently colour-ringed birds from the Gann.  Also 5 Little Egret amongst the cattle.

Over at Dale late afternoon the gull roost was a decent size (maybe 1,000+ birds) and contained at least 25 Mediterranean Gull (22 adults, 1 2CY, 2 1CY).
