Surprisingly quiet on the fields between Manorbier and Jameston this morning on a bike ride. Normally there would be Lapwing and Golden Plover in their hundreds but I have seen none there this winter. In a field above Manorbier beach there were 200+ Sky Larks which brightened up a dull day and a lone Gannet passed offshore.
