The leucistic Herring gull appeared on the mere this afternoon. Assuming it's one and the same, and not a flock of them touring the county, here's a list of it's recent appearances: 12 Nov Goultrop, 19 Nov The Gann, 25 Nov Llys-y-fran, 12 Dec Garron Pill, 15 Dec Marloes Mere. NB A look through previous posts shows it or other sightings of leucistic herring gulls may be linked to a bird that nested on Caldey.
