Wiseman's Bridge

A Velvet Scoter had a fly around the bay this evening distantly. A lot of Common Scoter offshore, 257 close enough to count (still very far out!) with some bigger flocks even further out again.

34 Great Crested Grebes was my highest count for a few years, and 29 Red-throated Divers, 9 Red-breasted Mergansers, 1 Shag, 1 Guillemot, 7 Razorbill and a large feeding aggregation of 70+ Gannets very distant.

The gull roost was small, fragmented and distant (seems to be the running theme for this evenings visit!), 1 adult Mediterranean Gull was the best in with 352 Black-headed Gulls, 30+ Kittiwakes and 4 Common Gulls.
