Female/immature Black Redstart was showing well in the sun at the front of the old Records Office at Haverfordwest Castle at lunchtime today. Probably the same bird as seen by James Roden on Friday, so it may stay around a bit longer. It spent time posing on benches, window cills and the roof as well as on the grassy bank and in the small trees at the front of the building:
Earlier a Peregrine was patrolling around the Old Mill Grounds Nature Reserve, Haverfordwest, later having a rest in a favourite tree, only a quarter mile from home, and in the same place three hours later on the way back from the daily exercise.
