On Friday's walk this Peregrine was patrolling over the valley and about 20 minutes later on the regular plucking branch with a decapitated Woodpigeon, less than 500m from home. Unfortunately I did not see the attack and kill. A couple of Magpies were waiting nearby and not bothering to try to steal anything until the feathers had been removed. A later view from a different angle is a bit more meaty. Local lockdown birdwatching does not have to be boring.
