A cold start today, but 7 Snipe in our field and several hundred Starling murmurating over Mount Farm. On St Davids Airfield 50+ Golden Plover not affected by the patrolling female Peregrine, on the ponds 12 Shoveler, over 50 Teal and, heard but not seen, Widgeon and a single Water Rail.
Back home a surprise as a post sunset garden stroll flushes 5 Woodcock, the first I have seen here in my 11 years.
