Broad Haven South

As the mist had cleared at home in St Florence by mid morning I set off to Stackpole Quay only to find a persistent sea fret on the coast. A walk along towards Bosherston and back via the coast path and Barafundle was pleasant enough though with zero scenery and zero birds.

On to Broadhaven where the mist eventually lifted and on a walk down the valley and dunes behind the beach there was plenty of bird song with 4 Blackcaps, a couple of Willow Warblers and 8 or more Chiffchaffs competing with Blackbirds and Wrens. 4 Swallows drifted over followed quickly by 9 Sand Martins. On the sea a Red Throated Diver and a Great Northern Diver were keeping each other company quite close in.
