Iceland Gull at the Gann

From David Ord:

Mid morning yesterday, Brian’s juvenile Iceland Gull was enjoying a vigorous bath just upstream of the bridge. Focussed as I was on this bird, I failed to see an intriguing dark-eyed Herring Gull in the background. Had I noticed it I’d have stayed with it to see if it had any other characteristics of Caspian Gull - albeit an atypical one. One to look out for?

Others present - Dave’s sinensis Cormorantlimosa Black-tailed Godwit as well as the striking summer plumage males, a few Med Gulls in 1st, 2nd year and adult plumage and a female Wheatear.
