The first grasshopper warbler and whitethroat were just making themselves heard over the cold wind. I watched a Cetti's for about half an hour from close range as it dived about in dense blackthorn, gorse and bramble scrub, never posing for a photo. Ten white wagtails and six wheatears on Gupton.
