Rath/Marloes

From Francis Tusa:

A bit of a bonza day overall. Early doors (c.0840), male Ring Ouzel popped up from the garden scrub into the wall. Went back and forth from the garden to the side of the rath to feed. Last seen heading deeper into the Deer Park.

A small fall of warblers in the garden - mainly Blackcaps,  but 2-3 Chiffchaffs and a Willow Warbler. My first Rath Cottage Red Kite, too.

However, a major fall of Wheatears. In previous days, there have been 4-6 on the Rath - this AM, I counted 19+, all pretty much sitting in a line along the Rath from Renney Slip.

Late AM, on the path from Marloes YHA to Marloes Sands, at the bottom as it approaches the beach, 1, possibly 2 Grasshopper Warblers reeling. Rock Pipit displaying on rocks on the beach. Black Redstart heard. A Common Sandpiper seen early on in seaweed rocks, then flew towards Albion Sands.
