Nice to bump into Bryn during my first visit (1230) and Dave Butler on my second (1700). I made it 24 Sanderling in the earlier visit, but just 5 by the 2nd, but they had been joined by a Ringed Plover. The Sanderling were in various stages of plumage. One bird was colour-ringed, my first at the Gann, but it was sadly missing it's left tarsus and with it a couple of rings: I contacted the Dutch co-ordinator of the Sanderling ringing scheme and it could have been one of 138 birds! Despite the disability it seemed to be feeding alright, in its own distinctive style.
Yellow X4 remains amongst the non-breeding Oystercatcher flock, and a single Rock Pipit along the ridge.
