Re Mike Browning's post - there were 18 gannets feeding close inshore at Freshwater West that I forgot to mention on Wednesday, after a dozen a couple of days earlier, so there is something fish-related going on. I too went to Minwear yesterday (morning), a brief visit during which I too scored one wood warbler - though I didn't walk very far. The habitat change opposite the picnic area that Bob and Annie mentioned recently is indeed startling, no tree pipits there.
