Whilst attempting to photo Swallows and Sand martins at Penberi pond - there were lots - 9 Whimbrel flew in. A quick wash and then they started feeding. I have been watching this pool for over 25 years and cannot recall seeing Whimbrel here - no doubt someone will tell me otherwise !!
