The Teifi

The afternoon rains dropped in some waders, a flock of  8 Whimbrel was watched and heard tumbling from the sky. A short while later a flock of 20 Sanderling feeding in the estuary mouth. An evening wander in Poppit wood / marsh, found Willow Warblers, Chiffchaffs, Blackcaps and Common Whitethroats singing away in the best numbers this season, also a Reed Warbler singing - maybe a first for us in this little patch of the Teifi.
