This evening c200 Starling and c50 Swallows roosting in the reeds, a Peregrine and a Barn Owl were both hunting at dusk. The Coot was still present on Mallard Pond and a Green Sandpiper could be heard calling from the river. (Teifi RG)
At high tide around both banks of the St. Dogmaels's area of the estuary only 16 Little Egrets roosting, this a more normal roost count. Only large waders counted - 173 Oystercatcher, 87 Curlew and a nice count of 8 juvenile Knot.
A 10 minute look at the estuary mouth at 715 this morning produced 2 Common Scoter flying west.
