This morning's high tide waders included - 95 Ringed Plover, 42 Dunlin, 17 Sanderling and 1 Greenshank. A continuous movement of Sandwich Terns, peaking at 12 in the estuary. Kittiwakes are gathering in the mouth of the estuary (as last year late August) and today c120 Kittiwakes including many juveniles. A count of 95 Barnacle Geese too.
Yesterday evening on the Marshes, 1 Barn Owl, 2 Common Snipe, 1 Greenshank, 19 Teal, 1 Coot, 4 Lapwing and 300 Starling.
