Over in Angle harbour this evening we noted several redshanks and a black-tailed godwit on the spit and 2 sandwich terns resting on the sea just outside the harbour.
Over at the Kilpaison/Rhoscrowther side of the bay we estimated at least 120-150 curlews and 100+ oystercatchers at the Sawdern Point roost zone (two separate locations were occupied by both species). Two black-tailed godwits were seen in flight. The two little stints were still present feeding along the shore with 2 dunlin. Two alba wagtails (both probably white) flew in and perched briefly.
Just before we left the area, a flock of 8 knot flew out from one of the Sawdern Point roosts; several other dunlin and some of the curlews were moving around close to high tide.
