West Williamston

A single Osprey this morning at a rather damp West Williamston. It spent it’s time whilst I was there mid morning perched on the poles out on the edge of the Carew River.

Up at the point a couple of Whimbrel flew off calling and there were 20 or so Curlew about. With the tide dropping a few small waders flew in - Dunlin and Ringed Plover. No sign on the Cresswell River of the other Osprey which has been reported in recent days but very likely still around in the area.

Back on the Carew River the Osprey stayed perched with head down as a couple of showers went through. Two Greenshank were on the waters edge as well as 3 Little Egrets.
