First visit to the patch since 27/9, high spring tide so not so many birds about. Best was 6 dark-bellied Brent Geese (can't remember ever seeing this many of this race together here before), 3 adults and 3 1CY. Amongst the waders on the lagoon edges 1 Black-tailed Godwit, 5 Bar-tailed Godwit, 6 Greenshank, and at least 16 Redshank but probably more, they were very mobile. Nice to see some Wigeon up on the saltmarsh (with Teal). A single 2CY Mediterranean Gull amongts 100 or so Black-headed Gull resting on the lagoon and feeding along the tideline. 10 Rock Pipit on the high tide line were checked carefully for rarer cousins....without success!
