Ring-billed/LBB hybrid again at Llys-y-fran

The Ring-billed/LBB hybrid roosted again along with 4 adult YLG this evening. A frustrating roost, as it can be at times, with gulls very slow to come in and when they did the main roost formed way up beyond the old hide eventually stretching down to the dam so another big roost but too dark to do a count. Some interesting gulls all the same and always something to get us talking. The duck were interesting as well in numbers and variety, 36 Teal were being chased by a male Peregrine as we arrived, with Teal numbers getting up to 50 as birds moved around. A first winter male Pintail was a new bird here. 6 Goldeneye (3m), 3 Wigeon, 2 Tufties, 2 Gadwall and c20 Mallard. 3 GC grebe and a Little grebe. And a Chiffchaff along the bankside.
