5 Snow bunting, at the intersection around 9:30. They were in the company of Skylarks and pipits and would flush with them. Last heard and seen about an hour later flying over the runway by the Hookses not far from where I first saw them, so they move around. Perfect still conditions so their trill flight call was easier to pick up.
A Kestrel and 2 Red kites around the airfield. Lots of birds around, flocks of starling gyrating, skylark in numbers, chaffinch, goldfinch, house sparrows and linnets in the stubbles along with lots of corvids. c100 Lapwing Marloes side of the airfield. 150 Wood pigeon in the field above West Dale and c300 just beyond Marloes Mere later on. A quick look at the Gann first thing, nice to see the Greenfinch still around, otherwise just a single adult Med gull.
