A female Blackcap in the gorse on the Pickleridge was notable. Equally notable was a Shag on the lagoon, can't remember the last time I saw one this side of the ridge!
In recent days a new interpretation panel has been installed by Natural Resources Wales / Pembrokeshire Coast National Park just along the Coast Path from the parking area. It is the first part of a series of measures planned to reduce wildlife disturbance at this jewel of a site. Essentially, there is no access to the lagoon (so stick to the Coast Path or the beach) and dogs are to be kept on a lead. A second, identical panel, is due to be installed on the other side of the Gann, as you approach the wooden bridge, soon.
