Scotering

A complete sweep of St Bride's Bay from Penycwm to Goultrop Roads this morning.  A total of 148 Common Scoter in scattered flocks, the biggest was 65 distantly from Druidston.  3 Velvet Scoter (all 1CY, 1 a male) were close in at Broad Haven, probably the best views we've ever had, along with 4 scattered Eider (3 1CY, 1 2CY male).  A single Black-throated Diver off Druidston, and a total of 3 Great Northern Diver and a minimum of 31 Red-throated Diver2 Purple Sandpiper roosting on Emmet Rock, Broad Haven.

Yesterday 2 Shelduck at the Gann were our first here for some time.  Today the Hooded Crow was still present, and 2 Great Northern Diver still in Dale Roads.  Wigeon numbered 127.  (Dave & Lisa)
