From Ian Bullock: Walking the new riverside path that goes inland at Newport on Saturday afternoon, there were 8 cattle egrets feeding with grazing cattle. The field is on the E side of the Berry Hill road, N of the river, the first grazed field visible to your left as you climb the rising footpath. Grid Reference SN065396. Shorter yellow bill and paler, shorter legs, a surprise after all the Little Egrets along the estuary!
