Hook - 28th

A walk around the estuary yesterday. Present, the remnants of wintering populations of Teal (30-40 birds) in Sprinkle Pill, Shelduck (42) on the mud flats and Oystercatcher (2). A group of 6 Great Crested Grebes sat in the Western Cleddau, split into displaying pairs. Curlew and the 'shanks seem to have disappeared. As for spring migrants - 6 Chiffchaffs and 4 Blackcaps were singing.
