Llys-y-fran

I was passing by so had a last look at Llys-y-fran for this winter. 500 LBB, 20 BH gull, 10 Herring gulls, 2 adult GBB, 2 Meds (adult and 3cy) and an adult Common gull at 6:30pm. RH goosander in one of the small wooded bays, 2 m Goldeneye. 10-12 GC grebe. Green sandpiper flying up and later back down the western bank. A lovely still evening with Song thrushes belting their songs out, one in particular was throwing in phrases of nuthatch, buzzard mews, Blackbird pre-roosting calls and kick-kicks of GS woodpecker.
