At least 2 singing Lesser Whitethroats were at the Gann between 7 and 8 am this morning, one of them singing right out in the open from the top of a small tree. Other birds included about 20 Whimbrel, 3 Bar-tailed Godwit, a Wheatear and some smaller waders, among them about 20 Dunlin,a few Ringed Plover and a single Sanderling. A visiting birder reported that a Great White Egret had been on the lagoon some time earlier.
