West Williamston Whimbrel

First visit this year to the shore at West Williamston - whimbrel moving along the Carew River at high tide. A flock of 19 were well camouflaged in the sea purslane (13 in the picture below). They moved round the corner into the Cresswell River. Walking back I could see and hear more further upstream. Not a lot else, the woods looking bleak with all the dead ash trees.
