Marloes Peninsula

A Yellow wagtail flew across the western end of the mere before dropping into the last field on the left past the Britton Hide, grass is barely 3" high but impossible to see it on the ground despite checking from all available angles. Otherwise same as recent visits. 17 Whitethroat, 15 Sedge warbler, 6 Wheatear, 2pr Chough (above Marloes Sands and Renney Slip) flock of 5 in stoney field by the Earthworks. Whimbrel calling but not seen. About a dozen Pied wagtails. 2m Shoveler, pr and a male Teal. Started off bright and warm but a cooling mist soon began to roll in smoothering Skokholm from the mainland.
