Whinchats, Brynberian Moor

A good look around Brynberian Moor for Whinchat this afternoon turned up 2 male and a female. Beautiful weather to be out with loads of bird song from the open moor and surrounding woods. 4 Cuckoo (2m and a female on the moor and another female west-side of B4329 earlier) were my first of the year. 9 Whitethroat, 4 male Reed bunting, 2 Wheatear. Swallows swooping around all afternoon.  A sheep's carcass had drawn in 4 raven, large flock of crows, jackdaws, magpies, 2 GBB gulls, a buzzard and a Red kite. Kestrel by Tufton.

A few Green hairstreak on the wing.
