Early Gulls;- an adult Mediterrranean Gull was no surprise this evening, but an adult Common Gull was interesting- usually 2nd year birds are back first, like last year with one back on the 24th. The first juvenile Black-headed Gull this evening, again an early record, last year the first juv on th 24th and in 2020 on the 26th. Broods of small Shelducklings can be seen on the sea and up river onto the reserve, be worth counting the creches in a week or so. An Osprey was fishing on the reserve on Wednesday evening.
