I counted more than 30 but it was difficult to see them all due to clumps of grass and ragwort.
As I continued my walk northwards several other small groups were seen heading for the field.
Update from Bethan Mary Evans on 24th: I have seen 30+ of them in that particular field on a number of occasions in recent years. There must be tasty peckings.
