Very surprised to see 6 brown ducks on the shoreline at the Gann early evening, even more surprised when I realised they were Garganey!! As the tide rose they flew upstream and landed on the small shingle island above the bridge, no idea what happened after that. In flight I could see they were 3 drakes and 3 females (in eclipse). A Gann tick for me, quite a shock for the time of year and the size of the flock. You never know what is around the next corner.
