Castlemartin Corse - Cattle Egret

A Cattle Egret flew in, heading for the beef cattle on the fen meadow on the southern side of the Corse. These being placid beasts I was able to use them as cover to get closer. It was still there when I headed back up to the ridge. A second record for the Corse, the first (qv) was on June 6.

W of Starman's Hall 4 chough feeding. Otherwise very quiet - 1 curlew, 1 snipe (probably a lot more but everything keeping its head down). Single wheatear near Freshwater West.
