Pectoral Sandpiper

A smart juvenile Pectoral Sandpiper at Dale Airfield late afternoon, still present at dusk.  It was favouring the western runway (that runs SW to NE) and the field to the west (https://goo.gl/maps/wN8PMQ3rRTM6aXpL7).  It was mobile between the runway and the field, but gave good views at times.  Every time it flew it called several times so if visiting, learn the call before you go!  Lots of birds here, highlights included: a juvenile Little Stint, 4 Ruff, 80+ Ringed Plover, 30+ Dunlin, 3 Whinchat and plenty of alba wagtail, Wheatear and Meadow Pipit.
